2009 doesn’t have too many great horror flicks queued up for released and thus people who are happy to see some good old gut-splashing being done are looking forward for the release of Friday the 13th this February. Critics are slamming Amanda Righetti for already having done ‘Return to House on Haunted Hill’ and now starring in the new Friday the 13th. Some people are calling it being repetitive but I personally don’t find anything wrong with Amanda starring in another horror genre movie. My personal view? Amanda has been very good in whatever she has taken up, so what if this movie bears resemblance to an earlier project she did? How many times did we see Stallone boxing the daylights out his opponents in the ring? I love Amanda in the ‘The Mentalist’ and she was equally convincing in ‘North Shore’. Friday the 13th could be the perfect movie for Amanda. She has it in her to carry the role of being Jason’s next supposed victim who ends up giving him the fight of a lifetime — at least, I hope she does. Friday the 13th would also provide Amanda a chance of displaying a different side to her and pitching her as a leading Hollywood lady.
